Insulin for life

This project supplies insulin for Sierra Leonean hospitals. Yes, insulin.

Insulin is a direct life saver. Without a constant supply of insulin and insulin equipment, many diabetes patients from around the world are facing a death sentence. collects unused insulin in the Netherlands and tries to distribute it to places where insulin is not available. Anytime we are organising a trip to Sierra Leone, we make sure to fill our baggage with kilos of life saving insulin. This arrives at our contacts in hospitals around the country, to be distributed to the patients in need.

This is only a modest contribution to a widespread problem, and by no means a satisfying solution; but with every trip we make, lives are saved.
